Painted Wall Plaster

Fragments of painted wall plaster have been discovered at the Manton Lane site. There are at least 16 different colours, including Egyptian Blue, the third most expensive pigment in the ancient world. Also, mustard-yellow, red, black, and purples in shades of maroon and lilac.

The walls appeared to have been covered in imitation marbling, as well as linear and panel designs.
